Jesus in the Everyday Moments

"And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." – Matthew 28:20
I think sometimes we forget just how present Jesus really is.
We tend to look for Him in the big moments–at church on Sunday, during a breakthrough, when something miraculous happens. And yes, He absolutely shows up in those moments. But more often than not, Jesus meets us in the simple, quiet, ordinary moments of our lives.

He's there when we're standing at the kitchen sink, lost in thought. He's with us in the car on the way to the store, even in traffic when the world feels rushed and loud. He's in the early morning silence before the house wakes up, and in the late-night tears when everything feels heavy. Jesus isn't just for the mountaintops or valleys–He's with us in the in-between too.
I've felt Him in a warm breeze on a hard day, in a perfectly timed text from a friend, in the random song that plays on the radio that speaks directly to my heart. Sometimes it's the way my child laughs, the way the sky looks at sunset, or even a stranger holding the door with a smile. These small moments might seem insignificant, but I truly believe they're holy. They're reminders that God is near. That He sees us. That He's walking with us.
The truth is–He's never left. We just have to slow down enough to notice Him.
So today, take a deep breath. Look around. Jesus might not be moving mountains in this exact moment, but maybe He's meeting you in the stillness. Maybe He's holding your heart in the middle of your messy kitchen or whispering peace over your anxious thoughts as you sit in a drive-thru line.
Let's not miss Him because we're too busy waiting for the "big" things. The presence of Jesus in the everyday is just as powerful.
He's with you. Always.
"Be still, and know that I am God." - Psalm 46:10
Prayer Jesus, thank You for being with me in every moment. Teach me to slow down and look for You, even in the ordinary parts of my day. Remind me that Your presence is enough–that You are enough. Open my heart to see You in the everyday, and help me walk with You more closely. Amen.
